Produced by Persephone Theatre in February of 2023, I had the pleasure of working with an incredible team to create this show. As the projection designer for The Herd, there were multiple challenges this project presented. From a new projector setup to live feed projections, I learned so much on this project.
When twin white bison are born into a First Nations herd in Saskatchewan, the community is engulfed in a national media storm. This play, by Saskatchewan’s own Kenneth T. Williams, explores the clashing priorities between science, money, power, and Indigenous sovereignty.

Process
This show for me is a colliding of worlds. Of old and new, of analog and digital, of nature and science, of indigenous culture and white culture. And in the colliding is where I hope the visuals landed.
